Reflection is a thinking process about one’s own or another person’s behaviour, mental state, or character. After reflection occurs, one can have increased knowledge about a situation and how to handle it in the future. An example of this would be someone who has just been angered by their neighbour might go into a room alone and think about what could trigger their neighbour’s anger. They might look at the situation from an outside perspective, which could give them more insight into the issue and perhaps prevent it in the future.
