It consists of the process of internalizing or learning from their own culture, traditions, and customs. Socialization is a lifelong process that varies across cultures. The socialization process changes as children grow up within different cultural contexts: for example, when they are pluralistic societies with members belonging to more than one ethnic group; or monocultural society where everyone belongs to the same ethnic group. Individualistic socialization begins with the child’s interaction with individuals outside the family such as peers, teachers, and television shows.
