For this assignment you are to deliver a presentation on the role of ethics and/or sustainability in engineering. You may choose to talk about either ethics or Sustainability or both. In developing your presentation, you should consider one of the following:
1. You may have been involved in an engineering project where ethics and/or sustainability were taken into consideration in an effective manner during that project. In your presentation, discuss the approach taken and the impact this had both on the organisation delivering the project and on the wider community.
2. You may have been involved in an engineering project where ethics and/or sustainability were not taken into consideration in an effective manner during the project. In your presentation, discuss the potential impact that consideration of ethics and/or sustainability would have had on the conduct of the project and on its deliverables.
3. If you have not been employed by an engineering company or involved in an engineering project, your presentation should discuss the impact of ethics and/or sustainability on either one of the projects discussed in the case studies or on another major project where lessons could be learned from the approach taken on these issues. Your presentation should be between 9 and 11 minutes long. It should be a formal presentation making use of Microsoft Powerpoint or some other similar presentation package.
